The C-TECH research and technological development project, led by NOS and developed within the scope of MIT Portugal, aims to develop, and validate a smart cities digital platform for urban modelling and planning at a pilot scale.
The platform, based on a three-dimensional representation of the city and its combination with various data from different sources (such as climate, energy and water consumption, mobility and, above all, user behaviors, determined by the use of the mobile phone), will enable different scenarios to be simulated such as energy efficiency in the building sector, green structures and energy efficiency of urban mobility, allowing local authorities to identify and effectively address specific environmental issues, in order to promote the reduction of their carbon footprint.
Lisboa E-Nova is a partner of the project, assuming the pilot in the city of Lisbon.
